I have been SO incredibly MIA on the blog lately. Life has been crazy and I’m excited to finally share some updates with you. I’m finally settling in to a new routine after switching jobs, so hopefully maintaining and growing Bliss won’t be on the back burner for too much longer.

Where to even start?

In February, I received a job offer while in Nashville for a work trip. It was really bittersweet but I knew it was time for me to move on from R+F and take a leap of faith in a new role and company (albeit same industry!) Two weeks later, I was starting at Sephora HQ on the Corporate Communications team.

I was explaining to my mom my roles and responsibilities at Sephora, and she said something to the effect of, “These are all things you’ve been doing since you were little!” and she’s totally right. My new day-to-day is writing, creating and strategizing. I’m in charge of the Sephora employee intranet, newsletter and communications plans including how we celebrate milestones like International Women’s Day, Earth Month, Pride, and more. For the first time in a LONG time, I’m feeling like I really do enjoy the work I’ve been given. Even the less glamorous stuff (like HR communications) are an opportunity to practice creativity.

Starting at Sephora has also come with some great perks, including a new appreciation for up-and-coming products! I have already used my discount on several occasions, and want to share some of the things I’ve been loving lately AND look cute in your makeup bag/bathroom.

In terms of the apartment, things are pretty much the same around here. I am anxiously waiting on the arrival of the gorgeous Interior Define x The Everygirl chair that I ordered a couple of months ago. I can’t wait to get my new little reading nook up and running! I’ve been slowly ordering art prints to create a gallery wall of sorts, and just purchased a really pretty monstera plant from Leon & George to complete the space.

I have purchased a few little knick knacks over the past couple of months, so I’ll definitely round those up in a post along with the new products from Sephora that are rocking my beauty routine.

Here’s to getting back into the swing of things!
